What is a "Big Bang"?A collaborative event between a writer and an artist creating a cohesive story with accompanying art pieces. The bang portion is from the influx of works for this ship that occurs when posting time arrives.

Is BakuDeku the only dynamic in this event?Back in 2018, when the first run of this event occurred, there was not a distinction in the dynamic for the pairing of Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku. It was just known as BakuDeku.As the fandom grew and with it- the popularity of using DekuBaku- we had already been very established with this event name. Not much sense changing it at this point.To Be ClearAny dynamic is welcome!! Be it DekuBaku or BakuDeku. We are more than happy to have you join us in celebtating our Twin Stars!As an aside- Yes, we will be asking our Writers to disclose relevant dynamics if they are relevant during Claims!

What sort of content restrictions are there?There are zero content restrictions for our 18 and above contributers- our Provisional Hero Participants. With the caveat that you are responsible for what you create- minding your county's laws is on your shoulders.There is Absolutely Zero Tolerance on NSFW and above content being made/discussed/shared with or by our Student Participants.These contributors will have dedicated spaces to socialize and collaborate without this content. They're role specific in our Discord server- so you will need to consider the Rules and Guidelines before being granted access to our Student Lounge if you are 18 and over.There are many spaces for the 18 and over Provisional Heroes to chill and talk about all other levels of content withing the boundaries of the content policies.This system is to ensure a space ALL contributors can freely create and interact with fellownfans in a positive way.Proper Tagging is KEY at All TimesFor NSFW we expect you to be 18+. If we find out you are lying about your age you will be given a strike. You may face a full event ban in some circumstances, please mind the rules.Do be aware that in creating NSFW/Problematic/Dead Dove and other Dark content you will limit the pool of artists available during Claims. This is normal for these sorts of events.

Who is able to participate?We welcome all ages over 16 years old. Though there are protocols in place for participants under 18 years old to ensure access to mature-level content is restricted.We certainly want to see passionate fans engaging- regardless of skill level or experience!! Just make sure to meet the requirements for each role!

Will polyships/platonic ships be allowed?Yes! Polyships/Platonic ships are welcome...so long as the focus is on Bakugou and Midoriya.They do have to be endgame, even if there are parties of three, four, or more added to their relationship or shenanigans.*Example: TodoBakuDeku or KiriBakuDeku is permitted. But it ending with or depicting TodoDeku or TodoBaku or KiriBaku or KiriDeku is not generally permitted.You may of course ask if you have something you think we should consider!

Is there a theme?There is no over-arching theme. Create any AU or Canon-Verse to your heart’s delight!!!

Guidelines

Writers:Minimum word count 12k words.There is no maximum word count.Your creation must be a new (No AI) and cannot be shared publicly. This means general ideas or plot points have to remain private.This story can be a sequel to a pevious work.NSFW and above content can ONLY be written by 18+ creators and must be tagged accordingly throughout the whole event, especially during Claims.If you are unsure if your story will include a NSFW scene please just tag higher than necessary as not every 18+ Artist or Beta wishes to work with NSFW material.Creations Cannot Be Change to a Higher Rating without Team Agreement.Teams with creators in our Student class (under 18 years old) will NOT be allowed to work on or make pieces with NSFW/Problematic/Dead Dove/etc content during this event.Their partners' works outside of the event are not our jurisdiction. What they make outside of the event is not our business. NO parties may change the rating of their work for this event to content above the Student-approved ratings at any point.A Beta partner is not required, though we will happily facilitate one if needed. You can use a Beta outside of the event so long as the work shared is limited to this purpose until reveals.

Artists:We are asking for TWO complete artworks to the best of your ability.They can be digital or traditional (we ask for a high quality scan or picture but are here to help on this front).No sketches or half-completed works will be accepted.Including a complex background is left to the discretion of the Artist and Writer, and Beta as applies.The level of coloring/shading is left to your Artist's discretion, as we welcome various different styles.

Betas:Will be partnered with Writer's based on what type of Beta they are in need of.We will be assigning them after the first Check-In to help with Claim Submissions and Summaries.You may always reach out to a mod or in one of the Brainstorming channels (per rating) before this point for general assistance if needed!These are three general types of Betas you can be more than one type or another all together based on your team's needs:• Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar
• Characterization
• Personal Assistance- Cheerleader/ Enthusiasm/ Motivation/ Brainstorming.A minimum of ONE project will be assigned to you as a Beta. If a Writer requests for a Beta later on in the process, we will do our best to accommodate. Betas will be assigned a role in the server and can be pinged for assistance as well.

Pinch Hitters:A Pinch Hitter is a fill-in when a Writer, Artist, drop or another unexpected circumstance.They usually are given tighter time-lines. We ask all creators to consider this when they take a project on, and when deliberating unexpected life events. Please, be kind to our contributors- and yourself.We cannot guarantee that Pinch Hitters will be able to participate.That said, the Discord server is open to anyone (over 16 years old), and we would love to have more moots and fans to chill with!
